Well, she pretty much had to do it didn’t she. In order for the will of the people to prevail as regards Brexit, Mrs May has to have a solid mandate from Parliament. She has to remove, or have voted out, those that would deny democracy to the people – regardless of spurious arguments or people who cannot read statistics properly. One can only hope that the likes of Soubry, Clegg, Fallon, and all the other anti-democrats will be disenfranchised in the General Election, and that proper democrats will prevail.
ALL political parties and their supporters need be under no illusions; this GE is about democracy. It is NOT about a Conservative government, or a Socialist one. It IS about the will of the people being paramount to all vested interests whatever they may be. Because, rest assured, if Brexit does not go through Parliament, there will be blood on the streets. Our very liberties, for which we’ve struggled to establish and preserve over a 1000 years are at risk here.
Re-elect the traitors at YOUR peril. If they get away with thwarting the people over Brexit, you can guarantee they’ll do it with impunity every time they don’t get their own way in the future.
