We didn’t think we’d ever agree with anything Vince Cable said. However his recent utterings on wanting to legalise assisted dying is something we can back whole-heartedly. As old buggers we certainly don’t want to hang around in pain or confusion just because some outdated religious mores decree it. While we can objectively state that we want to depart this world if certain conditions apply, then why should the politicos or religious houses be able to overrule our wishes? We would urge that anyone who feels the same as us should take out a ‘living will’ now and plan for the future. Legislation MUST come in some time soon, so be ahead of the game.

We really are at a complete loss as to what goes on in the Maybots head. Is there a brain in there, or just some sort of large sponge which absorbs everything thrown at her, and re-wrings itself on a daily basis? How many times does her Chequers plan for leaving the EU, and each variation thereof – which don’t amount to a can of beans anyway, have to be dismissed by everybody, until she will get the message?
