The most surprising, and frankly gob-smacking, news of the week so far comes from the Pope. Apparently he admits that nuns are there just to be used as sex-slaves by priests and bishops (and presumably Pope’s). And there was us thinking they were only around to make tea and worship!

Three so-called ‘studies we’ve come upon.
The first states that if you eat 10-a-day vegetables you will be mentally healthier and better off. (Not 5-a-day you notice…..!) The ‘study was a questionnaire sent to people who ate a lot of vegetables with the question being ‘do you feel better?’. The ‘researchers’ from Leeds University seemed surprised when most of those who participated came up with the exact answer the researchers wanted!
The second bit of research is, frankly, even less difficult to understand. A Pew Research study asked about well-being and happiness from religious groups and people of religion, and the rest of us. Guess what. Yes, the religionists are happier! (Although, curiously, NOT healthier).
The third totally spurious bit of cock comes from the University of Minnesota, who state that if you get married in your 20’s, you will suffer less anxiety and sleep better when you are older! We couldn’t even be bothered to read exactly why this is the case, we were almost ready to cut our own throats by now.
Which just goes to show what a load of old bollocks most, if not all, research studies are. People will automatically answer the question the way that they are expected to, and if they can promote their beliefs, well even better. It proves absolutely nothing, and one really wonders why Universities are wasting their time on this anyway. Graduate – “Yes, I did a study on how happy people are who eat more vegetables than the rest of us”. Interviewer – “Thank you for your time, we won’t be contacting you offering you a job”.
